What can I say? This is one great movie that’s got it all! Just look at the image above. It has a handsome hero, two kick-ass women, muscles with heart, a cool father figure, an emphatic powered person, and two cutesie creatures. Something for everyone 🙂 .
What I liked most about the movie is the number of funny scenes. And they are really funny. Most people in the theatre laughed out loud, me including. You just couldn’t help it. The ending was sad, but if you stay put during the credits, that feeling will soon be replaced by laughter again.
As somebody else mentioned, all the characters have an arc. They all develop during the movie. It’s not just the main character, Peter Quill, who does. Would Hollywood have finally learned that the audience is tired of superficial characters? I sure hope so.
My only ‘but…’ would be: but why did they have Sylvester Stallone in the movie? It didn’t need a big name in it, but I guess they had the money for it. It makes you wonder if the next one will have Arnold Swartzenegger in it.
I can’t say anything about the movie without giving anything away and I don’t want to spoil it for you. All I can say it that it’s ‘clean’ and entertaining for everyone, from the very young to the very old. It has topics like trust, family, relationships, adventure, revenge… The whole kit-‘n-kaboodle. It’s a great movie. I can’t say it often enough. So, go and see the movie and have a good laugh/feel-good time.
